Sightseeing Victoria’s CitySights Evening Tour allows visitors with limited time to visit Victoria’s best attractions, all from the vantage point of our open top double-decker buses. Whether you are just in town for the day with a cruise ship or hoping to see Butchart Gardens and the Greater Victoria area all in one day, this tour provides a great overview of all that Victoria has to offer. Our CitySights Evening Tour is a condensed version of our Hop-On-Hop-Off CitySights Tour. There are 4 iconic stops offered on this tour – The Empress Hotel/Inner Harbour, Chinatown/Old Town, Fisherman’s Wharf and Ogden Point Cruise Ship Terminal.

This tour is ideal for guests onboard cruise ships docked in Victoria for the evening and is available every Thursday and Sunday evening.

					We have used Gray Line Hop on buses before.  They are a great value and take you to many highlights in a city.  The Victoria, BC trip did not disappoint.  The tour includes stops at Victoria's  Fishermans wharf (cute shops and tasty food), Chinatown (so much history and cultural finds), Craigdarroch Castle and Beacon Hill Park.  And so many more!  I think our guide said her name was Hummingbird.  She was the best - fun and informative.  Too bad we only had 1 day.  We would definitely take the bus tour again if we ever go back.  It is a great way to see the whole town while someone else does the driving.

					We were about to give a miss to this tour as we came from the free to visit nearby Legislative building when I decided to ask the young girls with a kiosk on the street if they have deals for the day only.  Fortunately they did and the great price (a bit over half of what they normally ask) was a great incentive to join the bus about to depart: - the tour was simply great as we ended up to the Beach drive, on the eastern side of the town, which we could have easily missed if we were to travel using our own car, bearing in mind the narrated tour had lots of information about this amazing place: if I was not to love Europe above everything, probably this would be the second place on my list due to my love for wildlife - we also passed near Beacon Hill park, a stunning location, and not as busy as Regent's park or Hyde Park in London, UK, with amazingly friendly deer besides geese, ducks etc and gorgeous settings.  More deer in the nearby cemetery and a deer with it's 2 young one stopping the bus as they crossed a road in this area, going to a house near the water!!!  Loved that, besides the amazingly beautiful houses near this park - passing through China town and other locations, where the narrator detailed of some great restaurants to visit, we also passed through some great residential streets where people looked happy and friendly - no wonder very few left the tour and most returned to their cruises or downtown to explore more.

					1/2 Day Well Spent Great way to get an overall feel for the layout of the victoria Area and provided good base of information.

Driver took us on streets I didn’t believe that bus would fit saved a lot of walking.

Well worth the price.

					I had a fabulous experience taking the bus tour throughout Victoria because of Norm (our bus driver).  He gave detailed commentary, in addition to some humour.  This bus tour made it possible for me to explore multiple tourist destinations in just one day. Norm gave wonderful recommendations on where to eat, get coffee and specialty items.  Norm had great stories to tell, which were very interesting and made everyone feel very special on the bus tour.  Norm made our experience one MILLION times better.

I got off the bus at Cook Street Village to explore the area and got on the next bus in one hour; I was surprised that the next bus driver rarely spoke, it was mainly a recording talking about the area.

					So much beauty all in ONE day!! We had a fabulous day from we boarded our coach in Vancouver to the Ferry to explore Victoria and all its beauty. But hart gardens was first and as our Guide Senan promised we were definitely not disappointed!!! The gardens were spectacular and we had just enough time to enjoy as Senan gave us some ‘insider tips’. Victoria was so interesting and beautiful too.. drop off points and pick up allowed us plenty of time to enjoy and we left wanting to come back for more!!!  Hopefully soon ?

					Great way to See Victoria BC The Hop-on Hop-Off Sightseeing Victoria City Tour bus was a great way to see Victoria BC.  The bus tour goes through China Town, numerous neighborhoods and along the Strait of Juan de Fuca Water Way. One of the interesting items we saw along the route included two brightly painted piano’s that the City of Victoria had place on two separate street corners for pedestrians to play if they so desired.  The bus tour also goes near the old Chinese’s Cemetery but not right by it as the streets in that area are for cars only.  The old Chinese Cemetery, which is right on the waterfront, was an interesting and free place to visit with scenic views across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. 

The sightseeing bus ticket is good for a 24 hour period and includes the water taxi. To get the most for your money, make sure you take a water taxi as this will give you a different perspective of Victoria and prevent you from having to walk everywhere.

					90 minutes narrated tour and it gives you perfect flavour of the city. Once you finish the whole tour, then continue to go each place and then hop on and off. If your guide is Tim, you are going to enjoy it even more.

					Nice mix of real-time and recorded narration! The bad: no complaints. People had personal convos during the narration but that's bad touring etiquette, not the co.



The good: The drop-off and pick-up times were clear; you knew what you were getting into. I actually checked with the person at the visitor center before the purchase to gauge its on-time rate. It was as advertised.  



It provided a quick, comprehensive way to find potential spots for a deeper dive later in the day or on another day.



The best: it does the best job I've seen of combining real-time narration with audio recordings that focus on history.



Final vote: I'd recommend.

					A couple weeks ago my sister & I enjoyed the Hop On Hop Off bus tour.  Have a question though.  You drive by the most important building in BC - our Parliment Buildings but do not say one word about it.  You don't drive by Government House, but you tell us all about it.  Why?  I think Parliment is a little more important.  Otherwise enjoyed our time and our driver, sorry don't have his name but he was good.

					We booked prior to our cruise. They seem very organized. Rob was a super driver/narrator. Flexible pick-up times. We booked our CVS tour to Butchart Gardens on the internet before our cruise. We had booked the 11AM tour, however we made it into the center of Victoria earlier than expected and they allowed us to take the 10AM tour instead. The CVS kiosk is very easy to find outside the Empress Hotel in the center of Victoria. (See my photos).



When they say 'tour', they really mean a bus ride to and from Butchart Gardens with narration. Your entry ticket is included, but you're on your own in the gardens and you can pick which time you want to come back as they have buses pick-up every hour again from Butchart. I liked that flexibility. We were in the gardens around 2 hours. If you plan on eating there, you would probably add another 60-90 minutes. This schedule allowed us to get back to the center of Victoria and see the town before having to take a shuttle ride back to the ship. By the way, the approx duration of the bus ride from the center of Victoria to Butchart Gardens was 30-40 minutes. 



The bus was modern and clean and the driver/narrator Rob was one of the best I've ever had on a bus tour. His narration was very clear and slow and he put passengers at ease with his directions of what to expect when we got there, etc. You could tell he was very experienced. 



Butchart Gardens itself was beautiful and a great place to take close up photos of flowers. I'm glad we went early in the day when it wasn't quite so busy. 



They have a cafe, plenty of WCs, a visitor center and a large quality gift shop.

					This was an awesome experience. Lots of things to see on this tour and you can stop and get off/on at many great locations. The bus was quite clean, the driver and staff were friendly and informative, and the narration was very well done. This is definitely something I would do again.
